Yorkshire Sculpture Park

Elsecar Heritage Centre
Fly through ironworks, collieries, workshops and village streets in a cutting-edge digital reconstruction and experience what it was like to live and work in Victorian Elsecar. Peckish? No problem, there are two on site cafes, The Pantry and Brambles Tea Rooms, both serving everything from light bites to afternoon tea. Dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating area, perfect for indulging in some warming drinks and tempting treats alongside your canine friend.
Brodsworth Hall and Gardens
Built in the 1860s for the Thellusson family, the house has been gently conserved to tell the stories of the generations of people who lived and worked here. The gardens are the perfect place for a stroll through the statue walks, the fern dell grotto and the beautiful dells. With seasonal changes, the gardens provide year-round interest.
Kelham Island Museum

National Coal Mining Museum
Discover how coal changed our nation forever, and explore what life was like as a coal miner. Your tour will be led by an ex-miner with plenty of experience, taking you on a 140m decent underground through 180 years of mining. You will have the chance to investigate the mechanical workings through interactive models and the giant machinery. Don’t forget to strike up a conversation with the blacksmiths and meet the museum’s ponies and horse before you let off steam in the Adventure Playground.
